We love how a professional blow dry can completely transform your hair, and your mood! However, for most of us, it just isn't practical to visit the hairdressers every weekend. So why not give it a go yourself? Our how-to guide will teach you to give yourself a salon-style blow dry from the comfort of your own home. All you need is our Advance Techniques Daily Shine range, our brush range and a hairdryer!
STEP 1: WASH
Using the Daily Shine Shampoo, wash your hair concentrating on massaging your scalp. Rinse, then follow with the Daily Shine Conditioner.
STEP 2: TREAT
Treat your hair with the Daily Shine Nourishing Treatment Mask. Spread evenly through wet hair, leaving it on for 3 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
STEP 3: TOWEL DRY
Towel-dry your hair roughly, using the wide-toothed side of the Styling Comb to remove any tangles as you go.
STEP 4: ADD SHINE
Add shine to your hair with the Daily Shine Dry Ends Serum, rubbing a small amount through your hair from roots to tips.
STEP 5: BLOW DRY
The final step is the blow dry! While you may not have the same skills as your hairdresser, we have some top tips to help you achieve the look you want!
Choose the right brush
If you are looking to create volume and curls, go for a round brush, with at least a 2 inch barrel depending on the size of the curl you want. For straight hair, paddle brushes are perfect.
Divide and clip
Separate your hair, clipping as you go, into three layers: top, middle and nape.
Keep the hair taut
Starting with the nape section you've sectioned off, wrap a 3 inch section of hair round the brush and pull as taut as you can. Follow with the middle, then top section.
Point the nozzle downwards
Make sure the dryer nozzle is pointing down, then direct the airflow from the roots to the ends of your hair.
Frame your face
When drying the hair that will frame your face, flick the dryer forward to point the hair towards your face as you release the hair from the brush.
Blast hair with cold air from the dryer to set your hair!
